PEPtBO’s Annual Meeting and Dinner
Please join us at the Picton Yacht Club on Sat May 27, 2017 at 5:30 pm as we celebrate another year of migration monitoring at PEPtBO.
A buffet dinner will be enjoyed at 6:00 pm. After dinner a short Annual Meeting will be followed by a presentation by Hazel Wheeler , "Loggerhead Shrike Recovery in Ontario".
Hazel has a background in wildlife biology, with an undergraduate degree from Guelph, and a Master’s from Trent, where she studied Chimney Swift foraging patterns using radio-telemetry. She has dabbled with Arctic Terns in northern Manitoba, and prairie dogs in southwestern Saskatchewan, but her heart beats for species-at-risk conservation. For the past three years she has been coordinating the Ontario recovery efforts for the Loggerhead Shrike, during which time she has handled hundreds of shrikes, and has the scars to prove it.
Winners of the 2017 Photo Contest will be chosen and announced.
