Help Monitor Monarchs! Help Monarchs! Prince Edward Point has been designated as a Monarch Butterfly Reserve since 1995. Mission Monarch is a citizen science initiative launched in 2016 by the Montreal Insectarium in order to better understand monarch population decline. This program will ultimately help conserve and re-establish monarch populations across Canada. At selected sites, monitoring generally occurs every other week from June to September. Huff Family Fund supports NatureHood at the Observatory PEPtBO is grateful for the support from the Huff Family Fund for our NatureHood program.  The grant will allow us to continue to provide transportation stipends to school classes to visit the Bird Observatory.  Outdoor educator Cheryl Chapman and teacher Julie Hymus were on hand to receive the cheque from Lanny Huff at the Huff Winery on Feb 21.
