MIGRATION MATTERS - FALL EVENTS 2018 at PEPtBO

Sunday Sep 23 - Fall Warbler Identification Workshop:  meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Observatory

      Tips and tricks for identifying fall warblers.  Length 2.5 hr.  Admission: by donation.  We'll observe some warblers close up at the banding station and then head out into the field to practise(1-2km of walking).  Bring binoculars if you have them.

Sat Oct 6:  Guided Bird Walk - meet at  9 a.m.at the Observatory (2.5hr covering 1-2km)  Admission: by donation

Sat Oct 13:  Guided Bird Walk - meet at  9 a.m.at the Observatory (2.5hr covering 1-2km)  Admission: by donation

Tue Oct 9 -  Poetry Contest Session - meet downstairs at the Picton Branch of the Library. Contest judge and chapbook editor JC Sulzenko who will welcome 

students (ages 9-16) from 4:00- 5:00 p.m. and adult poets from 5:00-6:00 p.m. to a  preview about the chapbook project. 
 

Saw-whet Owl Banding – open to the public on these nights only

Thu/Fri/Sat - Oct 4, 5, 6:  8:15 – 9:15 p.m. - meet at the Observatory * SAT OCT 6 CANCELLED because of rain

Thu/Fri/Sat - Oct 11, 12, 13:  8:15 – 9:15 p.m. - meet at the Observatory (Oct 12 event in conjunction with Chart the Dark Sky event)

Thu/Fri/Sat - Oct 18, 19, 20:  8:15 – 9:15 p.m. - meet at the Observatory

Please note:  Owl banding does not take place if it is raining or too windy.  Check the website before heading out or contact info@peptbo.ca
