Visit the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory to experience nature upclose! Outdoor Education Programs are offered Sept/Oct and May at the PEPtBO. The observatory is situated in a National Wildlife Area which has also been designated as a Globally Important Bird Area (IBA).

Curriculum Connections

We can provide classroom visits or tours and follow-up material that connects with Ontario curriculum expectations for Grades 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 12.

Our tours feature banding operations, bird habitat and issues involving bird migration.

Admission to the Bird Observatory is free, but we request a $50.00 donation to PEPtBO from school groups who participate in our school tours. The observatory is a non-profit organization that relies on donations, fundraising and memberships to continue its research. It is entirely run by volunteers with 1 hired Bander-in-Charge.
