MIGRATION MATTERS - FALL EVENTS 2019 at PEPtBO

Aug 15 - Oct 31 - Daily banding operations open to the public (mornings).  Banding does not take place if it is too windy or raining

Workshops and Walks

 Sat Sep 21 - Fall Warbler Identification Workshop:  8:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Observatory

      Tips and tricks for identifying fall warblers.  Length 2.5 hr.  Admission: by donation.  We'll observe some warblers close up at the banding station and then head out into the field to practise(2+km of walking).  Bring binoculars if you have them.

Sat Oct 5:  Guided Bird Walk - meet at  9 a.m.at the Observatory (2.5hr covering 1-2km)  Admission: by donation

Sat Oct 12:  Guided Bird Walk - meet at  9 a.m.at the Observatory (2.5hr covering 1-2km)  Admission: by donation

Fri Oct. 4:  Chart the Night Sky:  What's Up at Night?   7:30 -9:00 p.m. - meet at the Observatory.  Please register in advance - numbers limited.

Saw-whet Owl Banding - SOLD OUT
Those attending the Owl Banding demonstrations need to have registered ahead of time.
All evenings are now fully booked.  If it is raining/too windy the evening's events will be cancelled - there are no rain dates for Owl Banding demonstrations.
