Go Birding!

“Most of us are looking for a refuge from negativity, a connection with what’s real, what’s fascinating, and what’s beautiful in the world.”

Ned Brinkley

Indeed, many of us are looking to the natural world more and more for solace, meaning and amusement.

PEPtBO encourages and supports this, of course, but because the amount of information available on the Internet can be overwhelming (and some of it not very good), PEPtBO has curated a list of helpful resources we think would be relevant for both experienced and beginner birders.

Let us know how it goes, and feel free to share your photos, stories and any resources you think we should share. info@peptbo.ca

BUT FIRST, BE SAFE!  Some guidelines for birding during the Covid-19 pandemic:

  • Comply with all current public health guidelines for your area. Remember that public health recommendations may change so stay in touch with your local health authorities.
  • Practice physical distancing. Avoid any situation or location that would encourage or require people to violate physical distancing guidelines or travel away from one’s local area.
  • Avoid groups. Bird on your own, or with those in your ‘bubble’.
  • Wear facemasks when physical distancing is not possible or when mandated by local health authorities.

In short, bird as much as you are able, close to home, and without exposing yourself or anyone else to risk
